Size 16 Jeans.

This is actually amazing for me. I don’t remember the last time I went shopping for jeans, and I was a size 16! I think the last jeans I bought about 3-4 years ago were size 20. No name. No brand. Old. I wear them today, and the look huge around my legs.

And now, SIZE 16 PANTS? This is amazing to my brain. This opens my clothing shopping ALREADY to 2193821 more places. I am going to hold off on the buying new clothes.. I just needed another pair of jeans that FIT for my job.

Remember my post on the beginning of March? Where I promised myself I wouldn’t give in to not being motivated. I lied.

I haven’t worked out very much.. Specially this job. Its NO excuse. I don’t want excuses, and I wont let myself listen to this excuse anymore. I have been doing very good with my diet (except for yesterday were I SHARED a piece of cake with my friend), but, I haven’t been doing well with going to the gym. I’m going to be starting my gym power again tomorrow.

I didn’t weight myself last tuesday. I think we might as well just wait for this coming up tuesday, because I mean, its already saturday!

PS – I got this new excited ACAI thing for my smoothies. 🙂 I’m excited to try it out.

Oatmeal.

I see all these fitness blogs, and health food blogs making these amazing looking oatmeal breakfasts. Oats in a jar! EVERYTHING. Baked oats!

I decided to make my own.

So, mine looks good no? I have pumpkin oats, 1/2 sliced banana, and a small tablespoon of PB. Now you ask, how did it taste? IT TASTED SO BAD. I gagged through 70% of it. I decided in the end just to eat the toppest layer of banana with some peanut butter. I ended up throwing the rest away.

Right after that.. I got sick all day. 😦

I did manage to go to the gym, and get 2 miles on a treadmill.

30 minutes treadmill.

I really felt like I had to puked.. I am hoping that was just today. Tomorrow I’m going to try baked oats.. I really want to like oatmeal! It all looks so good online. haha.

Update #10

Sorry I was MIA for a moment there.. I started a new job. I’m excited for a new job, because now I can finally have money. Its not the best hours.. So I’m still looking for something better, or something else to go along with it.

I’m not letting this job thing get in the way of my gym time! The day of my last post, I didn’t go to the gym, but I did do a hour of p90x with my boyfriend. It was kinda hard for me to keep up with the tape!

Today I did go to the gym!

  • 25 minutes HIIT on the elliptical
  • 35 minutes – 6 incline – 3.0/5.0 speeds – Treadmill

In total I did 4 miles! Bringing me to 10.5/2010. I’m not going to lie, I know I’m totally behind. Even though just 4 days into March I have made a few mistakes with my diet, I’m not allowing anymore. I’m going to be in control! Remember, I’m doing this journey for me! So control is important!

Question for any readers.. Do you prefer to workout in the morning, or in the evening?

Update #7

I almost didn’t get up and go to the gym today. I got there pretty late.. at 12pm. Compared to other days when I’m there first thing in the morning! But, I have been staying up way later. 😦

Elliptical Intervals – 35 minutes

BRISK walking @ speed 4 – 10 minutes

I had meant to walk longer, and work my way up to a jog but didn’t.  Over all I did another 3.5 miles. So that makes total 6.5/2010. Lets just say we still have a long way to go!

I’m still doing the fruit thing.. My grandma is worried I’m ‘starving’ myself, but I really don’t see it that way. From about when I wake up to 5pm (When we have dinner), I get my fruit.veg intake. Today I had an apple, banana, raspberries, and peaches. I basically just eat as much fruit as I want, and it is 100% a better intake then what I had been snacking on before (Chips. High Calorie Sandwichs. TREATS.) For dinner I had prime rib, a small potato, and a large carrot.

Afterwards I was CRAVING that DQ Blizzard. You know, a small blizzard is anywhere from 500-1000 calories. Thats seriously ONE WHOLE workout just to rid of the blizzard.

I ended up getting this guy which is 290 calories a bar. For now I’ll take it… Its better then the extra 450 calories DQ would have awarded me.

Update #5

Today I decided I’m a fruitarian til dinner time. We started the day off with tons of yummy kiwis.. Just when they are about to get soft.. Thats when I like them best. Then I had a banana, and now I’m having some raspberries! For dinner, I’m going to eat whatever everyone else is eating.. I can only eat fruit during the day, because seriously, I like my foods. hahaha

I was going to do the C25K challenge, but then I found something else called 2010 in 2010. 2010 Miles in 2010! I know I won’t get anywhere near 2010 miles this year… It would be 6 miles a day. Today I did 3, and almost died. haha. So, I’m basically moving up a mile a day. I couldnt run that far today.. It hurt my legs so bad. 😦

Running – 25 minutes – 1.05 miles!

Elliptical – 30 minutes intervals – 2 miles!

Weight lifting – mainly legs.. – 20 minutes

Update #4

30 minutes HIIT on the treadmill. Ran nearly 2miles!

Before anyone says anything about my weak workouts, remember I’m 238 pounds. I walked + ran nearly 2 miles (like 1.82), carrying my 238 pounds. It was hard, but it also felt really good. I wasn’t able to keep going after my last sprint.. so I hope soon I can go longer.

I think I might do the C25K.

Weight Loss Update..

I have lost 2 pounds. To tell you the truth, I’m kinda disappointed. I have been doing the gym thing for a good 2 weeks, and from going to 0 physical activity to a lot I was really hoping to lose more. I think I will blame my eating habits this week for that, which makes me more determined for next week. My family leaves today, so no excuses now.

Update #3

25 minutes step elliptical?

30 minutes Walk/Running

20 minutes biking

Today my sister joined me at the gym, and I must say, it was really good! This step elliptical thing is like.. half stairmaster, half elliptical. I must say, it was SO HARD. So i’m excited.

I also ‘ran’ my first mile.. I’m not going to lie, a lot of it was walking. I was doing a  .9 running, and .5 walking. It was hard enough.. I got to 1.10 in 30 minutes. So, I’m happy, but I know its a weak number. I hope to punch it up tomorrow, and try and do maybe 2 miles. I really walk to get into running!

I’m not even going to bother writing about the food right now. It hasn’t been perfect, but I’ve been trying.

Tomorrow is the first ‘weight in’ since I got this blog. I must say, when I wore my super tight skinny jeans today, they weren’t that super tight.. more like super loose. 🙂

Update # 2

30 Minutes Elliptical

20 Minutes Running

So, the gym was quick again today. I really want to spend more then “1 Hour” there, but I had to rush home to look after the puppy. Excuses eh! The elliptical is getting pretty good, I love that workout. According to the machine I had burned about 300 calories, and I didn’t look at the running, but phew. I can’t run for the life of me. Tomorrow I think I might make the majority of my workout on the treadmill. I want to be able to run!

I haven’t weighed myself in about a week.. I am waiting til tuesday to do that. I really hope I see something different.. Even though I’ve been eating not as well, I am doing exercise which wasn’t part of the picture last time.

PS – Canada VS USA game was just disappointing. I wish Canadians did better! Ugh.

Eat, Shrink & Smile.

Welcome to my little part on the web.. Its also my weightloss blog.

I need help keeping motivated, and what I need help with is eating, shrinking, and keeping smiling (Grammar? I dont care). And what the title is, its exactly what I want to do.

Currently I’m overweight.. I weighed in at the gym with 238.5! Gross! I don’t feel like a fat person.. I know thats stupid to say, but there is people who are happy to be fat. I don’t look at myself at fat, but the scale says otherwise!

I want to try and lose 10 pounds a month, I don’t know if thats really realistic, But I will try! I go and exercise at least for one hour a day (today was a rest day 😦 ) and have currently been doing this for a week or two?

I am truely doing this for appearance issues. I have crazy insecure.. I just want to ‘feel’ beautiful, and being skinny, or skinnier is really something I think I need to do that. Disagree? I don’t care, this is my journey.

Well, theres my short intro.. So lets get started. I hope to maybe meet a few friends while I do this.. and I hope i’m successful!
